Welcome! I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Tucson, Arizona, providing services to individuals and families.
Have you noticed that when life is going well, it has a particular flow about it; a type of motion that brings balance and contentment? Unfortunately, life stressors do occur throwing our sense of well-being off-balance and leaving us unsure. Difficult emotions can arise such as feeling stuck, fear, anxiety, depression, anger, or inability to concentrate. Sometimes it's just a general sense of unhappiness or feeling blue. “I used to feel excited about life, but now that’s missing.” Therapy is one way to re-gain your stability and meaning in life. It is a way to be seen, heard, and validated for what you are experiencing. Feelings can be overwhelming. Yet feelings can also be informative. Listening to yourself, understanding why you are experiencing your thoughts and feelings can bring insight, wisdom and change. Going to therapy, learning to trust yourself, and giving yourself a break are all ways one generates self-compassion and self-love.
